Centred is a progressive charitable company based in the Highlands that supports people through mental ill health toward mental well-being. Our services are based in Caithness, Easter Ross, Inverness, and Lochaber. Centred Recovery Centre, based in Inverness, is a centre that provides support and accommodation for up to 23 service users.
We are looking for a Reviewing Officer to join our Caithness Support Services team and play a key role in helping service users shape their support and move forward in their recovery.
JOB SUMMARY
As a Reviewing Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the support we provide through Caithness Support Services is effective, person-centred, and continuously improving. Reporting to the Community Services Manager, you will work closely with service users, their families, colleagues, and external agencies to review and shape individual support plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and carrying out regular reviews with service users, families, and staff to ensure support remains relevant and effective.
- Updating care plans and risk assessments to reflect agreed changes and ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate standards.
- Promoting active participation from service users, families, and staff in the reviewing process, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
- Identifying unmet needs and liaising with other agencies to agree appropriate changes that maximise independence and quality of life.
- Supporting the development of local service user groups, encouraging meaningful involvement in activities and service improvements.
- Communicating review outcomes to staff teams to ensure consistent, high-quality support delivery.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of social care who enjoys combining direct service user engagement with structured review and planning. It offers the chance to make a real impact on people’s recovery journeys while developing your own professional skills.

ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has, or is willing to work towards, at least SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- Holds, or is willing to work towards a PDA in Medication Administration.
- Has experience working in mental health or care at home services.
- Can manage their own workload, show initiative, and adapt to changing needs.
- Has strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Holds a full driving license with access to a vehicle insured for business use.
- Is committed to their own professional development and to making a positive difference in people’s lives.
