About the Recovery Centre
While we aim to support people in their own homes wherever possible, some people with enduring mental ill-health need a higher level of support, so we offer residential care at our bright and modern Recovery Centre in Inverness.
It’s the first centre of its kind in the Scottish Highlands, where we support 23 people, each within their own bright and airy self-contained flat or bedsit.

Our Approach
We give each of our residents their own occupancy agreement and they have the peace of mind that they can stay as they engage on their recovery journey. Our dedicated staff work with each of our residents, helping them to overcome the challenges they face and encouraging them to move on to a happy and fulfilling future, living independently within their communities.
Everyone’s needs are different, and they change over time, so our individual and flexible support plans are created with the person’s needs front and centre. Offering support with everything from medication management to everyday life skills, our caring team at the Recovery Centre help people to not only cope with life but to learn to shine again.

Referral Process
Referrals are made by professionals already supporting an individual whether it’s a doctor, nurse, occupational therapist or other healthcare professional.
We already provide support to NHS Highland and will accept referrals from across the UK. Individuals may also refer themselves to the centre for respite.

Partnership with NHS
“NHS Highland have worked in partnership with Centred for many years.
The Centred Recovery Centre is a unique resource in Highland which provides residential care (with mental health nursing) for individuals with severe and enduring mental disorder with a focus on their recovery.
This model is designed to offer short-term (6-week duration) residential placements following discharge from hospital focusing on ongoing treatment, care and recovery, or preventing hospital admissions where possible. Around 30 service users have experienced the benefits of this model by utilising block-funded beds.“
